With Regal's Call Compliance Auto-Announcements, you can set up a recording to automatically play at the start of outbound calls. This ensures that the necessary announcements (e.g., recording disclosures, compliance messages) are communicated to customers without relying on agents remembering to say them manually. Note: Agents can always choose to Pause Recording on calls as needed.
Reach out to your CSM to set up an Auto-Announcement in your account.
How does it work?
When enabled, a pre-recorded message of your choosing (such as "This call is being recorded for quality assurance purposes") automatically plays when the contact answers the call. The announcement:
- Plays immediately when a call is answered
- Note: This means that the announcement will start playing even if the call is answered by an answering machine (for calls without Answering Machine Detection). For this reason, it's recommended that your pre-recorded message be <8 seconds long to limit overlap with voicemail drops.
- Plays for all outbound calls (e.g., campaign calls, manual outbound calls, etc.)
- This announcement does not play for inbound calls, as inbound compliance notifications are typically handled through IVR welcome messages.
- Is heard by both the agent (whether human or AI) and contact
- Cannot be skipped or disabled by agents
- Is captured in call recordings
